Silsden worshippers will focus on Poland during the Churches Together week of prayer for Christian Unity.
Services will be held by Anglicans, Methodists and Roman Catholics in the town from January 18 to 25.
Churchgoers will draw on Poland’s secular and ecclesiastical history as the basis for their prayers. They will ponder changes to the country and how the Polish people have been sustained by their faith. Planned services are: St James’s Parish Church, January 18, (11.45am for 15 minutes); Silsden Methodist Church, January 29 (10.30am for 30 minutes) and 22nd (6pm as part of joint evening service); Our Lady of Mount Carmel, January 24 (11.45am for 15 minutes).
There will also be a coffee morning at St James’s Church Hall on Saturday, January 21, from 9.30am to 11.30am.
