Mark Weeding is the new chief executive of DISC – the Northern-based charity that works in Bradford to support people suffering crisis and disadvantage.
Mr Weeding takes over following the retirement of Steve Johnson, the founder of DISC (Developing Initiatives Supporting Communities), after 26 years.
Mr Johnson saw DISC grow from a small centre in Durham to a major charity challenging disadvantage and exclusion across the North of England.
Mr Weeding said: “I love the spirit and passion that continues to run through so much of the organisation. The belief in what we do remains the cornerstone of my motivation and the future success of DISC.”
