Keighley drug intervention worker David Wilson will swing into action this Saturday for a 12-hour tennis marathon.
Mr Wilson, 48, who works for drugs and alcohol agency Project 6, plans to raise money for mental health charity Mind.
Mr Wilson, from Ilkley, was a police officer during the early 1990s, but retired from the force after four years after suffering with depression.
Mr Wilson will play in the “tennisathon” with regular playing partner Peter Casling at Ilkley Tennis Club, where there will also be a raffle and tombola.
People who wish to sponsor Mr Wilson should go to uk.virgin-moneygiving.com/DavidWilson12.
