Thornton Road in Bradford remains closed this evening following a major blaze.
Ten fire crews were scrambled to the scene, about half a mile from the city centre, at the junction with Preston Street, at about 4pm. Ambulance crews were also called.
At the height of the blaze, flames leapt 30 feet from the roof of a building.
A fire service spokesman said firefighters were alerted to what she described as a large blaze in commercial premises.
Road closures are expected to remain in place for some time.
