The Bradford Bulls cheerleading team – the Bullettes – are to star in a new television show.

Panache Cheerschool in Bradford, which trains the Bullettes, has been picked for a programme following the lives of its cheerleaders as they prepare for national championships next month.

Young dancers are invited to attend auditions next week, which will be filmed for the show.

Panache, which is run by Robyn Morrison, the wife of former Bradford Bulls player Glen Morrison, was selected out of cheerleading groups throughout the UK to star in the TV show, due to air on Sky 1 early next year.

“Thousands of cheerteams auditioned, including some amazing ones in London, and we were chosen,” said Mrs Morrison. “It will be focused around the Bullettes.

“Initially it will be a one-hour reality show-style documentary following me coaching the Bullettes and, if it’s successful, Sky will be looking to make a series on us similar to the Pineapple Dance Studios series, which was a big hit.”

She added: “Our annual Bullette professional cheer team auditions will be filmed for the show. We’re looking for talented dancers aged over 16 to attend and become part of the Superleague team as well as being featured on the show.”

* Auditions will take place at Panache Studios, Harry Street, Dudley Hill, on Thursday, October 20. Registration is at 5.30pm, for a 6pm start.
