Concerned residents have branded plans to build hundreds of homes on a greenfield site in Bradford as illogical.
A protest group called Friends of Pitty Beck has been formed to oppose the planning application submitted by Hallam Land Management for 292 houses to be built on the site near Allerton Lane, Allerton.
The group argues the road leading to the proposed development is not adequate to deal with the increased traffic flow and would cause further major disruption in the area which is already struggling with congestion.
As well as the alterations to the road itself, the protesters are also worried that wildlife in the area would be affected.
The plans detail an area the size of 14 football fields for the houses to be built on and also include a new public road.
The protest group is scrutinising the report before a public meeting is held to voice their concerns.
Hallam Land Management did not want to comment when contacted.
