Motorists faced major disruption after two lanes of a busy dual carriageway were closed following a burst water main today (fri).
Engineers from Yorkshire Water were called to the junction of Kings Road and Bolton Lane, Bradford, to reports of water gushing from the main.
A spokesman said the 24-inch pipe had burst and the inner two lanes of Kings Road had been closed to traffic since the late morning.
He said the closure was expected to last through rush hour and drivers should avoid the area.
Yorkshire Water spokesman Matt Thompson, said: "We want to apologise for any difficult disruption as a result of the burst water pipe.
"We want to reassure motorists that we are working as fast as possible to get everything back to normal."
