A husband and wife are preparing for an 82-mile fundraising trek along the Dales Way in aid of Bradford’s Marie Curie hospice.
Simon and Kim Rebecchi, of Baildon, will depart on the six-day walk on Sunday, which starts in Ilkley and finishes at Bowness-on-Windermere.
The couple have so far raised more than £3,200 for the hospice but hope to reach their target of £3,500.
Mr Rebecchi, a plumber, said they had chosen the charity after his wife, a sales and marketing director at Leeds Building Society, helped raise funds for the hospice at work.
He said: “We used to walk a lot before we had children and it seemed a great idea to have a walking holiday and do it for a good cause.
