Firefighters rescued two women and a baby from a burning house in Bradford in the early hours of this morning.
Two crews from Odsal and one from Bradford were called to the house, in Gracey Lane, Buttershaw, at 5.30am.
The women, both believed to be in their 20s, called the fire brigade and were kept calm by the mobilising team while they were trapped upstairs.
One woman, holding the 12-month-old girl, was screaming from an upstairs window when firefighters arrived.
They tackled the blaze and found the other woman collapsed in the hallway downstairs.
The women and baby had suffered smoke inhalation and were taken to hospital by ambulance.
The cause of the blaze, which started in the kitchen, is under investigation, but was not believed to be deliberate.
Watch commander at Odsal Richard Lightfowler said: “The crews worked fantastically well to get in and rescue them, and the mobilising team did a good job talking to them until we arrived, trying to keep them calm.”
