A former Bradford Bulls cheerleader is looking forward to the next round of X Factor, after impressing the judges on the hit TV show.

It’s the second taste of talent show success for Carolynne Poole, who came third in BBC1’s Fame Academy in 2003.

Since then she has recorded an album, toured with Tony Christie and appeared in Alhambra panto Dick Whittington, alongside Billy Pearce.

Last year she was back at the Alhambra starring in rock ‘n’ roll musical Dreamboats and Petticoats. She also landed a lead role in British film The Last Days of Edgar Harding, partly filmed in Bradford.

Carolynne, 30, appeared on ITV’s X Factor on Sunday, and was put through to the ‘bootcamp’ stage of the show.

Judge Tulisa Contostavlos told her: “I can see you in the final!”
