Detectives have appealed for information after a 94-year-old woman was targeted in a distraction burglary.
A man visited her home in Park Lane Terrace, Carleton, Skipton, at about 5pm last Wednesday.
He claimed she owed him £49 for work he had carried out on her property.
The woman offered him £20 after becoming scared.
He then followed her into her home and took a bag containing cash.
The next day, while she was out, burglars broke in by smashing the kitchen door and stole a second bag containing cash.
