Students at a Bradford secondary school took part in an explosive demonstration when the UK’s only rocket-making and space flight company visited.
Year seven pupils at Immanuel College and eight pupils from local primary schools were taught how to make rockets by Starchaser. Pupils were taught the history of the space race and the science and technology behind rockets, before making their own rockets.
Vincent Holdsworth, science teacher at Immanuel College, said: “The pupils then spent the afternoon firing their rockets, which reached up to 300ft, on the school field.”
