Two Bradford women were at Buckingham Palace yesterday to receive MBEs from the Prince of Wales at an investiture ceremony.
Beverley Kenny, of Bradford, and Sharon Tavendale, of Shipley, were given the awards in the New Year Honours List.
Mrs Kenny, head of catering and event management at the University of Leeds, was awarded her MBE for services to higher education.
Mum-of-two Mrs Tavendale, 43, is an administrative assistant at the HMRC accounts office in Shipley.
