Talented young performers are invited to join a Youth Arts Festival at Saltaire United Reformed Church next month.
Solo singers, actors, an organist and choirs of schools in Bradford district will play at the event, now in its third year.
The festival will take place at the church in Victoria Road, on Saturday, April 9.
Youth choirs at St Barnabas in Heaton and St Luke’s in Eccleshill will be among the performers. Each performer or group will be given ten minutes and will be presented with a certificate for their efforts.
Organiser and church secretary Valerie Jenkins said: “We started the festival when it was the 150th anniversary of the church. The church was a really a result of Titus Salt’s hard work and talent and we wanted to celebrate that and encourage young people to show their hard work and talent.
“The important thing is it is not competitive, it is just to appreciate their talent.”
Any other young people aged under 19 who want to be involved, should contact Valerie Jenkins on (01274) 542510 or e-mail valerie jenkins@btinternet.com.
