A distinguished Scot is likely to make tracks for the district in May.
The Royal Highland Fusilier locomotive is expected to visit the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway.
The Fusilier, a class 55 Deltic diesel, is one of several locomotives booked for the railway’s annual diesel gala.
The class 55s built up a large following of enthusiasts during their successful stint operating express passenger services on the East Coast Mainline.
Diesel locos from the 1950s and 1960s will pull all passenger carriages between Oxenhope and Keighley during the May 20-22 event.
