One of the largest employers in the Keighley area has submitted a formal application to redevelop part of its site for housing.
Glusburn Holdings (Cirteq) has applied for permission to redevelop land to the side of Hayfields Mill on Colne Road, Glusburn.
Although the outline application does not specify exact numbers, the accompanying design and access statement said the “indicative” site layout showed 67 homes – 49 houses and 18 apartments.
A previous scheme to build 88 homes was turned down because the plans did not fully meet the required 40 per cent quota of affordable houses. A subsequent appeal was dismissed. The company revealed its latest plans at an informal public meeting in October.
The application will be determined by Craven District Council’s planning committee.
