A 36-year-old Bradford man accused of murdering his wife had his case further adjourned at Leeds Crown Court today.
Sadavat Ali had been expected to enter a plea to the charge of murdering Abida Bi on Monday, September 20.
His solicitor advocate, Abdul Iftikhar, asked Judge James Goss QC to relist the case management hearing on Monday, January 17.
Judge Goss remanded Ali, who wore spectacles and a casual striped jacket, back into custody.
He is set to stand trial at Bradford Crown Court on Monday, March 7.
Ali is accused of murdering his wife at the family home in Thorn Street, Girlington, Bradford.
Mrs Bi, a mother-of-three, was found at the end-terrace home after relatives called at the house.
A post-mortem examination revealed she died of head injuries.
