A murder probe has been launched after a 44-year-old Pudsey man was killed following an incident in Leeds city centre.
Andrew Crawford, of Wesley View, Pudsey, and his cousin were involved in an altercation with two other males in Dudley Way outside the car park to The Light shopping centre at about 11.10pm on Thursday.
Mr Crawford was struck to the head several times and was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious head injuries. Police have said he died shortly after 2am yesterday.
Following the altercation the two males ran off into St Anne’s Street and then left in to Cookridge Street.
West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team have launched a murder investigation.
