Police have been examining CCTV footage from a store where a female employee was injured during an armed robbery.

Three masked men brandishing a knife and a crowbar entered the Co-op shop in Greenside Lane, Cullingworth (pictured), as it was closing at 11pm on Saturday.

They stole a large quantity of Lambert & Butler and Richmond cigarettes as well as cash, postage stamps and National Lottery scratch cards.

The suspects were tall and heavily-built and are believed to have escaped in a black Saab.

A Co-operative Group spokesman said: “The store re-opened for business as usual the following day and all the staff will receive counselling and support, as well as additional security measures at the store.

“CCTV footage has been given to the police who are investigating. As with any incident such as this, we would appeal for anyone with information to come forward.”

Witnesses or anyone with information should contact Airedale and North Bradford CID on 01535 618085 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
