Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan arrived to a rapturous reception from his legion of fans at the National Media Museum in Bradford last night.

Mr Khan was interviewed on stage by Hindi cinema expert Dr Rajinder Dudrah, before answering questions from the audience.

An exclusive preview screening of his new film, as a producer, Peepli Live, took place after the interview.

Tom Vincent, film programmer at the museum, said: “We have been incredibly excited about this event. Aamir Khan is justifiably revered as an international star of film and film-making.

“His success with movies such as Lagaan, Like Stars on Earth and Peepli Live speaks volumes about his ability as a writer, director and producer.

"We are thrilled that he appeared at the National Media Museum in person.”
