The organiser of a popular talent show is concerned about the lack of inquiries for tickets for the October 15 event.

Skipton magician Mark Waddington has hosted three previous Skipton Factor events to raise money for Manorlands Hospice, run by Sue Ryder Care.

But while previous shows have been hugely successful, with last year’s selling out, no tickets had been sold for this year's event by the end of last week.

“I am quite worried really. There have been several people saying they will buy tickets but we need people to actually purchase them so we know what we are doing,” he said.

The show takes place at Skipton Town Hall and will feature some of the best talent in the locality, as well as some professional acts.

Doors open at 7pm and tickets cost £8 for adults and £5 for under-16s.

They are available by ringing 01756 792879 or 07754 671340.
