Bradford councillors Imdad Hussain and Rizwan Malik are preparing to get stuck in to raise money for the Pakistan flood aid appeal.
The pair, who both represent Heaton ward for Labour, are hopeful of recruiting more Bradford councillors to help them run a charity car wash with proceeds going to the Islamic Relief Foundation.
Coun Hussain said: “We want to raise as much money as we can and we are going to try to get other councillors to get their hands dirty too.”
Motorists can do their bit by visiting Mr Shine’s Motorwise Hand Car Wash and Valeting, in Toller Lane, at the junction with Haworth Road, on Saturday, August 21, from 9am until 7pm.
