A 20-year-old student has told a jury he never laid a finger on a man he is accused of murdering in a violent robbery.

Jwanru Osman said he saw his accomplice struggling with Tony Ho in the blood-stained hallway of his home in Grantham Road, Great Horton, Bradford.

Mr Ho, 19, a chemistry and forensic science student at Bradford University, died of multiple stab wounds and a slashed throat. His bank account was plundered using his laptop computer.

His sister, Sally Ho, 22, was struck on the head with a vodka bottle during the robbery and her boyfriend, Gavin Stolarczyk, 30, was stabbed in the side. Both were bound and gagged in the basement of the house.

Osman, of Northolt, London, and Reaben Kareem, 21, of Walsall, West Midlands, deny murdering Mr Ho on January 22.

They both admit conspiracy to rob the students.

Kareem pleads guilty to wounding Miss Ho and Mr Stolarczyk with intent to cause them grievous bodily harm. Osman denies the charges.

Yesterday, Uxbridge College student Osman told the jury at Bradford Crown Court he had never met the three Bradford students before the robbery.

When Kareem beckoned him into their house, he thought it was for a cup of tea.

Osman accepted holding a wheel brace and a knife and helping to tie up Miss Ho and Mr Stolarczyk.

He said Kareem was very angry and treated him like the robbery victims.

“I saw blood basically everywhere in the hall,” Osman said.

Osman said he saw Kareem stabbing Mr Ho who was bleeding from chest wounds.

Osman told the jury Kareem filled two suitcases with property from the house and he helped to carry one away.

“I did not touch Tony in any way. I did not touch him at all,” he said.

The trial continues.
