Planet Jedward is heading for Bradford.
The rapping twins with gravity-defying quiffs, who shot to fame as X Factor finalists last year, are coming to St George’s Hall as part of their first UK tour. Tickets go on sale this weekend.
With two Irish tours and a debut album, Planet Jedward, under their belts, the boys’ quirky, high-energy style has made them household names, albeit of the love-’em-or-loathe-’em kind.
Following on from their number two hit Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby), the duo – 18-year-old Dublin-born twins John and Edward Grimes – are set to follow up their success with Planet Jedward, featuring the ‘high-octane favourites’ from the sell-out Irish tour.
Tracks on the album include their first single, a cover of Blink-182’s All The Small Things, which Jedward recently performed live in the garden of Channel 4’s Big Brother house.
Managed by Louis Walsh, the boys were the most memorable act from last year’s series of X Factor, despite being dismissed as “incredibly annoying” at the auditions by Simon Cowell. Viewers’ votes kept them in until week seven.
Jedward will be at St George’s Hall on Sunday, November 21. Tickets go on sale on Saturday, from (01274) 432000.
