Royal Ascot came to Baildon when residents organised a fancy-hat party to mark the staging of the famous horse racing meeting.
These residents at the Heygate Close sheltered housing complex donned a range of hats bringing a touch of glitz and glamour to the village.
Resident Betty Rhodes said they would follow the races on television and place bets to be taken to the bookmakers just before the races started.
She said: “It’s just a get-together. We have got a big television and we will be watching the races there as well.”
Dozens of women attended the party wearing a range of colourful and extravagant hats.
