Louise Fyffe, owner of fashion boutique Blue Ginger in the Royal Arcade, Keighley, has become a ‘champion for cats’.
She has given £50 to Haworth Cat Rescue at Cross Roads, near Haworth, from sales of handcrafted gifts for cat lovers.
The donation coincides with Small Charity Week, which runs until tomorrow, and will be marked by major activities in London to highlight the work the many small charities countrywide undertake for the benefit of the community.
Miss Fyffe said: “Haworth Cat Rescue does a fantastic job rehoming strays and unwanted cats, but I realise how hard this can be when every penny comes entirely from public donations.”
Blue Ginger is still operating as a collection point for recycling used stamps, old mobiles and unwanted jewellery.
