Members of the Spenborough branch of the Royal British Legion will hold a short flag-raising ceremony at the War Memorial in Memorial Park, Cleckheaton, on Monday, at 10am, to mark the start of Armed Forces Week.
The Armed Forces Flag will fly all week until the Armed Forces Day parade on Saturday, June 26, which will be led by the Mayor of Kirklees, Councillor Andrew Palfreeman.
The parade will march from Cleckheaton Town Hall, at 11.25am, to Memorial Park. Shortly after noon, there will be a fly-past by a Dakota aircraft of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, followed by a service.
The parade will march back through the town via Northgate and Horncastle Street and past the front of the Town Hall where the Mayor will take the salute.
