Ilkley has won one of only five gold standard awards from Yorkshire in Bloom judges after the spring round of the prestigious competition.
Ilkley and Driffield are ranked top of the Town category in Yorkshire.
Addingham matched last year’s overall silver gilt award with silver gilt standard, a feat emulated by Otley.
The judges have been given some tips to organisers ahead of the second and definitive round of judging, expected in July.
Kate Brown, of Ilkley in Bloom, said: “It gives us great encouragement and something to work towards for the summer judging.”
The group hopes residents will make more of a show of private gardens, one of the recommendations of the judges and Ilkley in Bloom is encouraging more residents to take part in its local competition.
