A date stone for the Cullingworth vicarage will be laid tomorrow.
The 10.30am ceremony will be performed by Malcolm Halliday, the recently-retired diocesan secretary.
Mr Halliday lived in Cullingworth for many years as he was married to the former vicar of Cullingworth, the Reverend Di Halliday.
The Reverend Suzy McCarter has been appointed as resident priest for Cullingworth and Area Missioner for the South Craven Deanery.
She will be licensed by the Bishop of Bradford on Tuesday, July 6, at 7.30pm.
She has served as curate of St Wilfrid’s Church in Standish, near Wigan, and before ordination worked as a primary school teacher and librarian.
She said: “We’re really looking forward to setting up home and meeting everyone in Cullingworth. We’re keen to get to know the area as well, as we love the countryside and walking.”
