A 13-year-old boy was robbed of an MP3 player by two older boys as he walked home from school in Wibsey, Bradford.
The boy was threatened by the pair who forcibly took the player from his pocket before running off.
Minutes later one of them returned to rob him of the headphones.
A resident and passing motorist told police they saw the suspects run off along Oakdale Avenue.
The first was described as black, aged about 16, of a medium build, 5ft 8ins tall with short black hair in an afro style. He had a black jumper across his shoulders.
The second suspect is described as Asian, of a similar age. He was also of medium build and had short black hair. He was wearing either a light grey T-shirt or jumper.
