Students at Laisterdyke Business and Enterprise College, in Thornbury Road, Bradford, have designed posters containing an anti-gun crime message as part of a competition.
Three winners – Keely-Marie Bell, Mariya Basat and Haseeb Mahmood – will share £100 worth of vouchers donated by the Bradford Moor, Bowling and Barkerend Neighbourhood Policing Team.
The competition was organised by PC Rory Romani as part of Operation Mineral, which aims to raise weapon awareness among young people, in conjunction with Bradford District Safer Schools partnership.
PC Romani said: “These posters are vital in helping us get the message across to a wider audience. I want to show people the dangers of getting involved with weapons and how seriously the police deal with weapon-related incidents.”
