A Bradford church has signed a recording contract with a top American label.

The Abundant Life Ministries church has agreed a long-term deal with American record label Integrity Music label for the church’s two worship groups – ALM:uk and RMP, their youth worship band.

The debut album from ALM:uk, Name Above All Names, is slated for an international release to more than 160 countries, with a UK release date of Sunday, May 30.

Tim Nelson, business director at the church, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for our worship team and for everything we are doing in the church.

“The church is there to try to help so many people in so many different ways and music is just one of those ways, not just in the UK but elsewhere. Integrity is a great partner to help take that to churches all over the world.”

The album will feature new songs written by the Abundant Life staff including worship leaders Mark Stevens, Matt Hooper and Jock James. The worship team has also been invited to tour to promote the album, performing in churches across the world.

Mr Hooper said: “Our heart and our mission behind our album is to provide great congregational songs that help the local church and worship teams connect with God in a practical way.”

The album was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, the home of country music, and in Bradford, with the help of Grammy Award-winning producer Bernie Herms.

Mr Herms has attended Abundant Life’s services with his wife Natalie Grant, one of America’s biggest-selling Christian music artists. He introduced the church to Integrity.

Mr Herms said: “Each time I have had the privilege of being at Abundant Life I have encountered an awesome move of God’s spirit.

“The church body are radically devoted to reaching their city and the world.”
