Frank Duckworth and Tony Lewis have got their mitts on the World Twenty20. No form of the game escapes them.
It is now 11 years since the two stattos came up with their formulas and tables to decide weather-hit cricket matches in the fairest way.
It seems much, much longer.
Oh for those carefree summer days when it was just tough luck if the heavens opened or the light caved in!
Now everyone makes a dive for their calculators or maths books.
Duckworth-Lewis even have their own website. But if you’re looking for a simple description of their work, forget it.
The explanation reads like a Dan Brown novel.
