Detectives say ramraids at two Bradford supermarkets are linked.

A dark blue estate car was seen being driven through the front window of the Tesco Express store in Otley Road, Baildon, at about 4.30am yesterday. Two men went inside the store and stole three tills containing cash.

While officers were at the scene, at 4.46am, they received a call about another incident at the Tesco Express at Leaventhorpe, Thornton Road, Bradford.

A dark-coloured estate car had been seen reversing into a window at the store but nothing was taken.

The suspects in both break-ins were said to be wearing dark clothing and balaclava masks.

Detective Inspector John Mountain, of Airedale and North Bradford CID, said: “We are linking these crimes and detectives are pursuing several lines of inquiry.”
