The Senior League Cup final will be between West Bowling and Bolton Woods after a morning of goals at Rawdon Meadows saw Bowling hit the target five times in the second half to beat Dudley Hill Rangers 5-3 and, in another tight game, Woods beat Fairweather Green 3-2.

Bowling's route to their first senior final was not clear-cut. Second best in the first half, they turned round a goal down. Rangers won possession in midfield and chipped the keeper in the last minute of first-half play.

It looked worse for Bowling when leading scorer Chris Wood limped off but a miscalculation by the Rangers keeper, who thought a free-kick was going wide, saw Luke Ellis equalise.

Woods' replacement Jamie Brennan fired home from the edge of the box to put Bowling in front but, after a quiet ten minutes, Rangers took advantage of uncertain defending to score twice to lead 3-2.

Going into the last quarter, the game then swung the other way. Bowling

finished the stronger, with Damien Melvin and Mark Whiteley putting Bowling back in front before a Melvin penalty finished it at 5-3. Fairweather Green struck early against Bolton Woods when Mick Burke broke on the left to square for Mark Flannigan to find the goal against the team his grandfather once managed.

But Woods responded immediately through defender Rob Cornwall and an Andy Carlton penalty. Carlton then

produced the goal of the game for his second.

Substitute Chris Graham reduced

the arrears and, in the late drama, a brilliant tackle by Greg Watts denied Andy Howland a tap-in.

Fairweather were also thwarted with what looked a clear penalty.

The Premier Division relegation dogfight took another twist. Crown are down but Queensbury were beaten 3-1 at Pudsey and stay in the bottom two behind Wyke Wanderers.

Division One leaders Bradford Park Avenue Rangers led by the only goal until the last five minutes at lowley Queensbridge before sealing the game 3-0. Trinity Brown, Brent Netzler and substitute Adam Jones supplied the goals.

Buttershaw White Star did both Avenue and the other promotion chasing club Silsden a favour when they held second-placed Ring 'O Bells Shipley to a 2-2 draw. Behind at half-time, Buttershaw went in front through Curtis McMahon and Andy Butter-worth - only for Bells to grab an 85th-minute equaliser.

White Horse had their biggest win for many moons in Division 1A. Arron Williams hit four as Horse eased any relegation worries by blitzing Oddfellows Athletic 8-2.

There was another high-scoring match at Ventus Sports where the home side, who were leading by a Gulfraz Sattay goal in the first half, fired another eight goals past luckless Quarry.

The 9-1 win leaves Ventus needing a win and a draw to become champions.

Improving Hudsons consolidated their fifth place with a 3-1 win at Queensbury Reserves, who, like their first team, are in danger of relegation.

Justin Steele, after 20 minutes, and Chris Gibbons later in the half gave Hudsons a 2-0 lead before Gary Scott hit the team's third in the second half.

Now needing only a point to ensure promotion to the First Division, Division 1B leaders Crown Wyke proved too strong for Intermediate Cup semi-finalists and third-in-the-table Royal Clayton.

Averaging five goals a game throughout the season, Crown dominated to win 6-1.
