Nadeem Siddique has issued a "come and get me" plea - to anyone with a title.
The Bradford light-welter wants to challenge himself against a better quality of opponent but so far his appeals have fallen on deaf ears.
Siddique's name had been put forward to face Doncaster's Steffy Bull for the central area belt next month. Bull, though, will instead tackle Baz Carey in an WBF inter-continental showdown.
Another planned opponent, Norwich's Jackson Williams, has also got bigger fish to fry after landing a high-profile date with Amir Khan.
Siddique is unimpressed at finding himself sidelined and insisted: "I've said all along that this year is the one when I really want to challenge myself.
"I'm always getting offered jobs because I sell lots of
tickets but I only want the proper fights that are on TV or for titles.
"Steffy Bull would have been perfect to see if I have got what it takes. His promoter first approached us and we agreed but then they looked elsewhere. Then I was
supposed to box Jackson Williams until Amir Khan stepped in."
l Bradford light-middle Khurram Hussain aims to keep it in the family at Leeds Town Hall on Thursday.
Hussain faces Karl Taylor, whose son Kyle he beat at Coventry last time out.
Hussain said: "Training has gone well. Dominic Ingle has put me through my paces."
