Kirklees 0 Keighley Ladies 4 - Keighley pulled off an impressive victory over bottom of the table side Kirklees - to hold on to their third place in the league.

Captain Michelle Harrison kicked off by hammering a shot from the half way line, but although she has scored in the opening seconds before this time she was wide of the target.

Strikers Maria McArdle and Fatima Khatun both went close early in the game and the break came after 19 minutes when Amy Phelan struck from the left and her shot beat the Kirklees keeper.

McArdle scored their second after making the most of a one-on-one with t he keeper to slot home. The striker scored her second before half time after being put clear by Khatun to make it 3-0 at the break.

They set back on the comfortable lead after the break, but still Kirklees could not break through.

They had to wait until the 87th minute before Keighley skipper Harrison put a ball across the 18-yard box that was picked up by Becky Granger who chipped into the six-yard area and Khaton finished off.

Silsden could only field 10 players in the West Riding Cup clash - but pulled off an impressive win.

Melissa Houldsworth scored twice and Vicki Ellis won the game with virtaully the last kick of the match.

Silsden's direct approach paid big dividends while goalkeeper Kristie Reynolds was also on form denying Huddersfield any hope of scoring.
