SKIPTON amateur boxer Aidan Swift won on a unanimous points decision representing Yorkshire against Lancashire at Preston's Guild Hall last week.
The Eastburn Boxing Club member beat his opponent from Sandygate Amateur Boxing Club as Yorkshire won the Roses clash 4-3.
After a slow start, light heavyweight Swift finished much the stronger, forcing a standing count on the Lancashire fighter in the third and final round.
Trainer Paul Doust said: "He lost his way his way a bit in the second round, but came out all guns blazing in the third."
