A 15th Century Bronte pub has become the first in Britain to serve an exotic tipple from Austria being imported by a Menston company.
The Fleece in Haworth has begun serving Stroh Punsch, a mulled fruit flavoured wine traditionally drunk on the ski slopes, instead of its traditional Christmas offerings.
The drink is imported by Ultimate Brands, which has the distribution rights to Stroh liqueurs in the UK and Ireland. The company was set up by South African born Cline Newitt, who moved to Yorkshire in 1997.
It has been assisted by West Yorkshire Ventures, the organisation funded by Yorkshire Forward to help new businesses.
Ultimate Brands said its turnover next year would be £150,000.
"The aim of ultimate Brands is to search for unique cult drinks from around the world and to bring them to the UK," said Mr Newitt. "It has been a great year for the company."
