Traditional menswear maker Greenwoods has opened a factory outlet at its headquarters in the Albion Mills business complex in Greengates.
The firm said the new operation featured the largest formal hire and wedding suit centre in the north.
John Hanson, chief executive of Greenwoods, said: "This new store culminates 145 successful years of retailing and we are delighted to be able to offer a new shopping destination for our customers.
"As the UK's largest independent retailer we are very proud of our long-standing reputation and now customers will have the opportunity to buy high street clothes at a fraction of the price."
