The signs are promising that the Bulls will continue their champion form.

That's the view of long-serving Mick Withers ahead of 2006.

With six first-team regulars, including Robbie Paul, Jamie Peacock and Leon Pryce, heading through the exit door, some people fear the Bulls will not be able to repeat their Super League heroics next season.

But full back Withers has been at Odsal since 1999 and seen plenty of squads break up and make up in that time.

After spending two weeks training with the Bulls' new arrivals, he is confident the latest cross-over of talent will be seamless.

"There has been a lot of changes but we've had a lot before and then done all right with that," said the Aussie with three Grand Final rings in his collection.

"We've been up there for years at the Bulls and there's no reason why it should be any different now."

"The recruitment has been as good as any and I'm confident in the people that have been brought in.

"They've settled in well and are all out in front in training!

"They are keen to make an impression all right but the whole squad has looked good. Even the old boys like Joe (Vagana) have been going well!"

New recruits Terry Newton, Stanley Gene and Adam Watene are showing up well while Withers, 29, is already looking forward to the first pre-season friendly at Warrington on January 2.

Having freshened up over the short winter break, the former Balmain Tiger admits he is still loving life at the Bulls as he approaches his eighth season in West Yorkshire.

"I've been very fortunate to have been around for so long at one club," said the player with 105 tries in 154 Bulls games.

"Considering when I first came over I didn't really know much about Bradford, it's been great.

"I've been well looked after, the fans have been great and I've played with some great players.

"I'm enjoying it as much as ever."

l The Bulls have an opportunity to charter a plane to take supporters to Perpignan for the Catalans Dragons game on Saturday, March 4 - subject to there being enough fans interested.

The flight would depart from Manchester airport on the morning of the clash, direct to Perpignan with coach transfers to the game, and return the same night.

Match tickets will not be included but will be guaranteed for all passengers travelling on this package, priced £199.

Anyone interested should contact Angeline Robinson on 01274-762313 as soon as possible.
