These Riddlesden Scouts and Wolf Cubs were celebrating the official opening of their new headquarters hut on Canal Road in 1932, the culmination of three years' hard work and the raising of £80.
Standing on the right is the official opener, Major A B Clarkson, DSO, a former Scoutmaster who had started the Riddlesden troop in 1909.
This ceremony was followed by Scouting displays, the investiture of three new Cubs, and tea. The hut was later moved into the grounds of East Riddlesden Hall.
The photograph was supplied by Mr Allan Hindle, of High Spring Gardens Lane, Keighley, one of the Cubs on the front row.
It was taken by George A Shore, who combined freelance press photography with a carpet and linoleum store in Keighley Market.
