HOCKEY and cricket star Hannah Ellis has been called up to play for West Yorkshire Schools.
Hannah, 15, a pupil at Holy Family School, plays her club hockey with Airedale Ladies who use Oakbank School's facilities, and is one of the few players from a State school to make the county team.
Her skill has seen her selected for Bradford Schools Under-16s and the call-up for West Yorkshire. In recent weeks they have beaten Merseyside 5-0 and also clocked up a 9-0 victory over Humberside.
Hannah is also a keen cricketer and plays with Oakworth Under-15s and Under-17s and also had one game with the senior team this season. She also represented West Yorkshire girls on a tour to Dublin when they played a Leinster team.
She has also represented Yorkshire nine times with best scores of 64 not out against Sussex and 48 not out against Cumbria.
Hannah also played for Yorkshire in the Ampleforth four-day festival in August.
