POPULAR Hawksworth head teacher Roger Bumby is switching schools.
Mr Bumby is moving from Hawksworth CoE Primary School to become new head teacher of Pool-in-Wharfedale CoE Primary School next year.
Mr Bumby, who has been in his current post for ten years, said: "I'm sorry to be leaving Hawksworth, but I'm looking forward to a new and exciting challenge."
Mr Bumby, who lives in Bingley, is expected to take up his new position at Pool around Easter when a new head teacher is in place at Hawksworth.
Pool's former head teacher Linda Hodson spent the last school year on secondment with Education Leeds for four days every week.
She took up a permanent position with Education Leeds in July this year leaving Glenys Pengilley as acting head teacher.
