None of Silsden's players have made themselves unav-ailable for tonight and manager Andy Geary is not surprised given that it is for a high-

profile friendly against Hudd-ersfield Town.

"If I had been putting together a squad for a Tues-day night trip up to Holker

for a league game it might have been a bit different," said Geary.

"I can understand the lads wanting to play in this one as it's not every day you get the chance to line up against full-time professionals from a League One side.

"I have seen Town's squad and they are mainly reserve-team players but they have a couple of first-teamers who are on the comeback trail.

"One of them had an operation a short time back and he will definitely feature."

Thackley and Liversedge both progressed to the third round of the Northern Counties East League Cup on Saturday and they are back in action tonight looking for Premier Division points.

"We had a good win at the weekend but it has left us with a couple of injuries and a few other changes," said Thackley manager John Boyle before his side's journey to Glasshoughton Welfare.

Goalkeeper Dave Bainbridge is replaced by early-season regular Matt Everard, who has recovered from a dislocated finger.

Striker Sean Clifford (instep) has picked up a knock and Kyle Shar begins a suspension. Sedge boss Eugene Lacy adds Aiden Lobley, John Borland and James Stansfield to his squad as they face a visit from Glapwell.

"Stany is playing again after the cricket season but he is not fully fit or anywhere near match fitness for football," said Lacy.

"But the only way he will improve that is to play some part in as many games as

possible."
