Bradford Park Avenue go to Wakefield-Emley tonight still sixth in the UniBond League Premier Division table despite dropping two home points to lowly Ilkeston Town on Saturday.

Manager Gary Brook is looking to add further to his team after giving debuts to Bradford City youngster Paul Denvers and goalkeeper Jon Worsnop against Ilkeston.

Avenue clawed their way back for a draw after conceding two soft goals.

Brook hopes to have his skipper Dean Jones back from injury and midfielder Greg Challender will definitely play after recovering from a punctured lung. He replaces the suspended Damien Dunne.

Paul Ryan, who was injured by his own keeper on Saturday, suffered concussion and is doubtful.

Brook said: "We forced 16 corners against Ilkeston and only got something from one of them. We have got to start taking advantage when we get on top of teams.

"But for the all the criticism of our players, we are still sixth in the league. I am just disappointed we haven't picked up more points in the last four games.

"It will be another tough game against Emley - and then Marine on Saturday. I am still trying to strengthen the squad.

"We still have that fighting spirit and it pulled us back against Ilkeston but we should have won the game.

"I am hoping to sign another left back because I need to release Tom Agus into a central defensive position - we look stronger when he is in there.

"He is from Hucknall Town and was at Halifax Town before that - and he will go straight into the team.

"I am still looking for a right back. Liam Brompton is suspended for three games."

Brook added: "We have a problem with our left back and right back positions. We have had two centre halves playing at full back. Andy Quinn has been injured but he played in the reserves on Friday so the door is open for him this evening."

l Guiseley face an unwanted journey

to the edge of the Lake District tonight for an FA Trophy second-round replay against Kendal Town.

The UniBond Division One side earned the replay with a 2-2 draw at Nethermoor at the weekend. The Premier Division outfit were pegged back ten minutes from time after leading through most of the initial game.

Though it was a penalty that brought Kendal back into the tie, they deserved a second bite at the very least as they had Guiseley under pressure for long spells in the second half.

"It is obviously going to be a tricky game and a nightmare of a trip to organise, given the mileage involved and it being a midweek night," said Guiseley boss Neil Parsley after his side had let Kendal off the hook by not extending their 2-1 lead in the first half on Saturday.

The winners of tonight's replay were handed a tough third qualifying-round tie at Worcester City. Guiseley's near neighbours Farsley Celtic have landed home advantage over Nuneaton Borough.

Reserve team keeper Stuart Jeffery is added to the 16-man squad on duty on Saturday. He was due to be on the bench at the weekend - FA rules allow five subs - but had to withdraw for family reasons."
