Following an unprecedented injury crisis at Nethermoor, things are returning to an even keel and there are only two players on the treatment table.

The club are not out of the woods yet in terms having everyone fit and available, more than a few players have a long road still ahead of them to reach match fitness.

Manager Neil Parsley says he has never known such a run of bad luck.

That is some statement taking into account Parsley's experiences in the game. From being plucked out of non-league football by one-time England caretaker manager Howard Wilkinson and signing for Leeds United - to playing for one of the Midlands' top clubs in West Brom and then enjoying a spell back in Yorkshire with Huddersfield Town - Parsley has certainly seen a lot.

"In all my years in the game I hadn't come across this level of injury glut before but we can't call it a crisis anymore," said a relieved boss.

"Neil Grayson played against Bradford Park Avenue reserves in midweek and, provided there are no reactions from that, he should begin to re-integrate himself into our first-team squad.

"I will be delighted when he has completed his recovery and another back in contention is Chris Clarke. He has recovered from a hamstring injury and that is a further boost to the club.

"I know all managers go through spells when they have players out and most of us just get on with it. It is not seen as a worthwhile excuse because every club has a squad that has been built-up to allow for injuries and suspensions.

"The plus side of it is that it provides opportunities for young players to break into the side. Craig Cosgrove has grasped that chance.

"He has done really well, adjusted to the big step up into the UniBond Premier Division and in a position like centre midfield that is quite a feat. There is no slack cut for a player in such an important role."
