Departing loose forward Lee Radford jumped at the chance to join his home-town club Hull FC only after the Bulls stalled over offering him a new deal.

Radford insists he never wanted to leave Odsal and is fully focused on adding another Super League ring to the one he picked up in 2003.

"The club left it to the last minute to offer me a deal and I started panicking a little bit," said Radford.

"The only other option was London, which wasn't what I

wanted, so when the Hull offer came I snapped it up. I told Bradford all year that I was already where I wanted to be but they kept hanging back and by the time they did say they wanted to keep me I had done a deal with Hull."

Radford signed a two-year deal with Hull, bringing an end to his seven years with the Bulls.

"I don't want to jump on the

bandwagon after they won the Challenge Cup but I think they are a club who can win things.

"Everybody is asking me if I am looking forward to it but it seems surreal at the moment because I am not really thinking about it. I am 100 per cent wanting to win a Grand Final with Bradford. It

hasn't really sunk in yet and it won't unless we get knocked out or get to the final."

Sunday's lethargic display against Huddersfield wouldn't be repeated against St Helens tomorrow, said Radford.

"Sunday was a blip. Everyone is focused and knows what needs to be done. On our last outing against St Helens they put 70 points on us so there will be a bit of payback hopefully."
