Keighley Cougar Cubs recently held their annual awards day at Cougar Park.

Guest of honour was Super league referee Ashley Klein who presented most of the awards throughout the day.

A special award was presented to Rob Proctor who started playing for the Under-8s when he was only six-years-old and has played in every age group up to Under-18s, a total of 12 years.

This summer he has moved into the Cougars' Junior Academy side along with several of his team-mates, some of whom will hopefully progress to professional rugby in the future.

Each team was presented with four awards: Player of the Year, Players' Player, Clubman and Most Improved.

The winners of each award were as follows:

Under-8: Jak Adams, Joe Marsh, Connor Rhys Dunford, Brodi Hudson.

Under-9: Rory Conway, Kyle Akrig, Kyle Wilmott, Luke Moorby.

Under-10 Jack Winterburn, Aaron Stevens, Louis Hannan, David Meyrick.

Under-11: Jamie Stephenson, Sam Tyson, Anthony Garnett, David Allen.

Under-12: Jamie Pickles, Wasim Shabir, Joe Palmer, Martyn Broadley.

Under-13: Mathew Bailey, Jake Waddington, Ashley Honeymoon, Ethan Hawksworth.

Under-14: Sean Kelly, James Haythornthwaite, Jack Cawood, Chris Young.

Under-15: Josh Scott, Tom Rushworth, Ben Parkinson, Andrew Maguire.

Under-15: (girls) Jade Charlton, Becky Whiteley, Lizzy Kendrick

Under-16: Danny Snowden, Jordan Harper, Tom Hall, Anthony Kennedy.

All teams are now back in training for the new season, players old and new are welcome.
