OVER 500 runners from across the country are due to take part in the Yorkshireman Off Road Marathon on Sunday.
The event, organised by the keighley & Craven Athletics club, starts from Penistone Hill, Haworth, and sees runners covering 26 miles over a tough moorland course that sees them up and down hills covering 4,000ft of climbing.
In recent years the club has also organised a half marathon to run alongside the full event. That race covers 13 miles with 1,500ft of climbing.
The races start from New Westfield Farm, near Penistone Hill, Haworth, at 10.30am.
